Noise and violet color in today's mascletà to honor women and the fight against gender violence Written on 08 March 2023. The pyrotechnician María José Lora fires the mascletà, with a markedly festive and protest character Today March 8, Women's Day, the main balcony of the Town Hall has a festive, demanding and sporty character. Among the guests, the players of the main teams in the city stand out: Levante UD, Valencia CF and Valencia Basket. Relevant women from Valencian politics such as the Minister of Justice, Gabriela Bravo, will also visit the balcony; the Minister of Education, Raquel Tamarit; and the Minister of Agriculture, Isaura Navarro. The fireworks show will be shot by María José Lora, from Caballer FX Global Foc. A professional who belongs to the fifth generation of Caballer family pyrotechnicians, with more than 150 years of history. "It is a source of pride," said the fireworks "to represent so many women who cannot be seen but work in this apparently masculinized sector." Today's mascletà will nod to women through colour, which will be present throughout the show "we have tried to make all the effects in purple, also the warning thunder, the volcanoes and the streamers", Lora highlighted. It will be a mechanized aerial mascletà, made up of retentions and digital effects, with an earthquake in three phases and four finals that will increase in intensity. It will end with a “land and air dry blow”. Tomorrow the Nadal-Martí pyrotechnics, founded 91 years ago in La Ollería, will fire. It will be a sound and light show, which will combine Valencian fireworks and thunder effects, serpentine whistles, sirens and colored volcanoes with buzzers. A visual spectacle that will be organized in the four cardinal points. He will play with the sound at the beginning of the mascletà, which will grow until it culminates with a powerful aerial bombardment.
